If you grew up in the 90’s…

There are a million ways to end this sentence, but the one I’m thinking of is “you love boys bands!”

90's kids

This might not apply to everyone, but it applies to most people – like me and some of my blog fellows (I won’t say names to avoid ruining your already quite low reputations) -, especially girls!

In my case, Blue is undoubtedly my all-time favourite boys band (Paulo’s post with four of us singing Best in Me is just a taste of how much I like Blue) and I might share some of their songs later in here. Besides Blue, I did not listen to boys bands that much – some Portuguese ones, like Excesso or D’Arrasar, and Backstreet Boys, of course!

But there’s another boys band that I really like – Westlife. They have quite beautiful ballads, some original ones and some really nice covers. I’ll leave you each one of them, both quite beautiful songs 🙂

“Blue” – not just a color of the rainbow!

Hi again!

So I took the liberty of writing this second post, all in the same day! Yes Pedro Ganço, I’m this crazy today! Just try and stop me! (a little private joke among us folks, never mind)

Since Pedro Lourenço’s posts take such a SMALL amount of time to read, and listen to – I don’t know… something like… I’m guessing 13 days, 14 hours, 41 minutes and 51 secs (just trolling you Lourenço) – I figured I could make up for lost time and do a double post today!

But on with the post itself. Everyone must’ve heard of the british boys band called Blue. Well, myself and my colleagues know this group a little too well if I may say so. Did that sound weird? Well, what I mean is, we know a bunch of songs of them! And we record videos of ourselves singing and playing to those songs as well! Just for fun, ’cause non of us is nowhere suitable for the portuguese version of Idol!

Wikipedia says that “Blue is an English pop boys band. The band consists of Simon Webbe, Lee Ryan, Duncan James and Antony Costa. Blue was originally formed in 2000 before splitting in 2005. They reformed in April 2009 and represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany with the song “I Can”. They came 11th, earning 100 points.” – This sums it up.

I’ve known them since their beginning, I’ve purchased almost all of their albums and I’m a big fan of their pop/romantic songs.

But there’s one particular song that we all sang over and over, and recorded multiple times, in multiple places, with random multiple people passing by… (yes, we kinda record outdoor public shows of awesomeness!) That song is “Best in Me”.

Also, here’s the song with which Blue represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

To all a very good day and stay nice!

EDIT: Here’s our tremendously magnificent version of Best in Me! (you’ll all now see why I said that none of us as fit for Idol)
